Orachos NAPASINTUWONG

Orachos Napasintuwong is an Associate Professor and Chair of the PhD Program in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Kasetsart University, Thailand. She also serves as Lead Researcher of the Agri-food Policy Research Unit at the Center for Advanced Studies in Agriculture and Food.

She is an Executive Committee Member of the Agricultural Economics Society of Thailand under Royal Patronage, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Asia Pacific Agricultural Policy Forum, and the Country Contract Partner for Thailand with the Food and Fertilizer Technology Center for the Asian and Pacific Region (FFTC).

Her work spans research, teaching, and capacity building in food security, bioeconomy, women’s empowerment, seed sector, rice economy, geographical indication, food systems and food policy in Southeast Asia. She received her PhD in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida.
