Florent TARBOURIECH

Born in 1965 in Sète, Florent Tarbouriech joined his oyster‑farming father at the age of sixteen to help rebuild the oyster beds destroyed by a devastating storm.
Initially a mussel fisherman, and supported by his wife Sabine, he launched into open‑sea mussel farming after his father’s death in 1986.
A self‑taught entrepreneur aware of his own gaps, he completed business management training in 1998 to continue developing Medithau. Aware of health risks and evolving regulations, he decided in 2002 to implement ISO‑based management grounded in continuous improvement.
Driven by passion, Florent Tarbouriech consistently places innovation at the heart of his processes. Having become a leader in his market and joined by his children Romain and Florie in 2007, the Tarbouriech family created the “Solar Oyster” and diversified into the agritourism sector.
