Jean-Pierre Brun, is 57 years old leaving and working in Arles – France.

He is Managing Director of Marius Brun et Fils, a Family brokerage company specialised in Rice and dealing mainly with the European Millers and Importers since 3 generations. Finding reliable suppliers from the exporting countries as well as Inland Europe to supply on a regular basis the mills and packers in the European Union is his everyday job.

As a sworn Broker at the High Court of Justice of Aix en Provence, he is entitled to organize public auctions, official price certificates and expert reports at the request of the justice.

Arbitrator in Paris as well as Milano, he has participated as speaker to several rice conferences in India, UAE, The Philippines, Bali, Bangkok, Miami or Marseille.

Marius Brun et Fils is also active in the freight market by chartering containers for account of the European importers as well as the Border rejection insurance brokering.

Aside this international trading activity, he has been involved during several years in Rizlab, a Rice quality control lab based in Nimes – France, able to analyse physical parameters, milling yield, varieties admixtures, DNA, GMO, microbiological content, pesticides residues, heavy metals residues, training sessions for mills and labs analysers, ring test, which allows him to have a good knowledge on quality of rice.
