Karen Lambert-Cordillac

The professor Karen Lambert-Cordillac teaches nutrition and energy requirement from children to elderly people in health and diseases at the Faculty of Pharmacy, in Montpellier University. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Berkeley, USA, Exercise Physiology Laboratory in George Brooks’ laboratory.

Her research focuses on muscle metabolism alteration associated to health with a focus on grape polyphenols. She conducts research from bench to bedside with a special emphasis on non-communicable diseases and non-medical interventions such as physical exercise and nutritional supplementation for improving health. She is co-leader of the science department of the non-pharmacological intervention society.

She has participated in various activities to contribute to the sustainability of food system. She has worked as member of the advisory board of the Key Initiative of Montpellier on food system, and in the Food track of European master (CHARM-EU).

Karen works as Montpellier’s coordinator of the Feed-Protect-Care Global Collaborative PhD Platform which has trained more than 60 international students within 2 cohorts and 5 training sessions.
